QuestionMr Hunter,
First off, I have a 1987 Mercedes 190E 2.6 liter. I don't know if that is in your expertise range but I would like to see.
My oil pressure gauge is erratic. I know something must be wrong with the sender because I changed all my fuses, and when I turn the key to the 3rd position (just before I start it), it reads 3 (highest). Is it my oil pressure sending unit or something else? If it is, where is this unit and is it difficult to change? Do I need any seals or gaskets when I change this? Any special tools?
Thanks
Mitch
AnswerReplace the sender, it is the most likely problem.
I can not recall where it is located on the 1987.
I recall the last one took thirty minutes and one wrench.
