Mercedes Benz repair: power windows, gallon trash bags, window switches

I have a 1992 Mercedes 190sl. the front power window switches are not working the fuse has been replaced but there is no response. I think I might have to replace the switches and unfortunately they will take a few days to arrive. We are expecting a lot of rain in the next 48 hours so is there a way to get the windows up until the switches get replaced. I have all leather interior.

The simple way to get the windows up = Call local salvage yards, locate used switch, and install it.

Cheap effective and easy way = Buy a box of construction grade fifty five gallon trash bags.
Open each effected door, starting at the top of door, pull trash bag over door, then close.

Hard way = Remove door panel, remove window motor, push glass closed, install window motor.
