Mercedes Benz repair: 1985 300tdt, critical detail, shutoff valve

engine wont shut off, igot avaccum shutoff valve, do you have to remove the injection pump to install. thanks

NOTE:
You do NOT need to remove the injection pump to change the vacuum shutoff valve.
