MG Car Repair: CEI Distributor Vacum Unit, vacuum unit, mg midget

Question
Do you know where can I get a CEI Distributor Vacuum Unit in the US without
buying the entire distributor?   I have a 1972 MG Midget US version.  I am
finding it very hard to get one, there must be an easy solution but I don't
know it.  If you know of more than one place, please advise, as I might have
tried one already.

Hi Gregory, this is a tricky one.  I live in the UK so I am not that familiar with USA parts availability.  I tried Moss, but the part needed (071-690) is no longer available.

Failing that, I would contact a specialist breaker for a used part.  It is easy to test if it is still working.  Attach a length of plastic screenwash piping and suck.  If you can see the end move, then the vacuum unit is still OK.
