MG Car Repair: Install of fan clutch 1500 series engine, fan clutch, press fit

I had to replace the fan clutch. I have the sleeve that fits over the pump shaft but the fit is loose. Is the clutch supposed to be a press fit onto the pump shaft?

No, Mike, it is not a press fit, but you do need a locking ring (part # UKC 759)to hold it in place.  

There are two different makes of fan clutch, OES and BERU.  I think they are interchangeable.  Beru Fan Clutch Part Number is W0133-1610581.
