MG Car Repair: 1972 MG Migit, mg migit, battery cables

Question
What would causes drainage of the battery when the car is parked for a day or two? Is this an electral problem that can be fixed?

Answer
First rough test to see if something is draining battery is to remove one of the battery cables and connect a 12v test light between the cable and the battery post with everything turned off. If the test lights lights brightly you have a drain. If it don't most likely you have either a bad battery or the charging system didn't charge it up properly.
If there is a drain first remove the wires from the back of the alternator to see if that stops the drain. If not you need a wiring diagram to start isolating circuits.
