I have an original AM radio and was wondering what I need to do to upgrade to a modern AM/FM radio.

Hi Ryan,
You don't have to do anything special. Just install it and connect it up. Only older MGs that had positive ground systems had to reverse the polarity of their systems. Your car is negative ground like all cars today so you don't have to do anything special.
