Mitsubishi Repair: Ticking Noise At Passanger Feet, mighty max, ecu

Mitsi Mighty Max 1990 manual.  Will not start and making a ticking noise from a small metal box by passanger feet.  Box has a wiring harnes attatched to it.  Not sure what it is.

That box may be the car's computer.  And on older Mitsubishi's there is a known issue with this.  Read the following article for additional information:

The symptoms you are describing do sound like a bad ECU.  You may have luck repairing the one you have or purchasing a used one that has already been addressed.  A new one may cost around $1500, so it's best to look for used one.
