Mitsubishi Repair: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse 5spd. shift problems, shift levers, clutch disc

wont shift into any gear  good pressure on clutch
no problems with clutch cable or shift levers
gear shift - cable and shift levers move correctly
clutch fully disengages but wont go into any gear

Robert: Ok, this is from my repair manual so things to check as to being unable to select gears.... 1. faulty transaxle, 2. faulty clutch disc, 3. release lever and bearing not assembled properly, 4. faulty pressure plate., 5. pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts loose. Another thing would be to check the fluid to make sure you don't have a leak someplace in the system. Even if the clutch works ok, it might not be releasing something as it should do to a leak in the hydraulic system. God bless: Linda
