will the motor from a 2000 eclipse fit into my 2002 eclipse? if so how do i go about doing this?

There's way too much information in explaining how to go about doing an engine swap.  But get yourself a service manual for your vehicle, and that should step you through it.  Eclipse engines from 2000-2004 were the same.  So swapping between any of those years should be fine.  Just as long as you swap a 4 cylinder for a 4 cylinder, and a 6 for a 6.  Trying to swap a 4-cylinder for a 6-cylinder engine can get very involved and require all drivetrain components, wiring, and computers to be swapped as well.
