Mitsubishi Repair: lancer 03 es, fan switch, fan control
Questionmy coolant reservoir broke at the tip replaced it and bought a new thermostat also replaced it cause it was over heating. now that i repalced these parts for some reason my auxiliary fans dont want to turn on looked for a burnt fuse found it replaced it but still no play on the fans. what could it be? lancer still overheats. but only when its still.
AnswerDemetrio,
Most cars have a separate temperature sensor located in the radiator; sometimes called a fan switch or cooling fan control module. You should have yours checked and replaced if bad. You can also try turning on your A/C and see if the fan comes on. If fan does not come on even then, there may be a different electrical issue. If could be a bad relay or fusible link.
Good luck!
