Mitsubishi Repair: 93 Eclipse, good shape, alternator

alternator light came on...had alternator tested and failed...replaced but the light is still on....what else could possibly be wrong?

David: Check the belt that runs the alternator, is in good shape and it the alternator set right with the belt? Is the battery in good shape? Maybe you should have it tested too. Because the alternator is what keeps the battery in good charging order. If the alternator went it might have weaken the battery. Other wise try removing the neg cable off the battery, wait 5 minutes and put it back on. Sometimes that will reset the computer. I hope this helps and God bless: Linda
