Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Galant 2.0L Automatic, mitsubishi galant, cv joint

Question
I have a knocking from the fron N/S wheel when I hit bumps or traffic control bumps in the road but only when I go down.  Could this be the CV joint or driveshaft?  Appreciate any assistance.

Mac: Sounds like a CV joint, have you checked the boot to see if that is still there or leaking grease. But you best get the car into a shop and have that fixed. Because you do not want to loose the wheel or something. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
