Mitsubishi Repair: engine light, coolant level, stering wheel

i have a 1990 eclipse, 2.0,gsx, manual, and i have an engine light on the left side of the stering wheel and it kinda looks like a bird cage can you tell me what its to.

Scott,
This light represents the coolant level.  If your coolant level sensor detects a lack of coolant, it will come on.  I would advise filling your car to the proper level and also have a mechanic inspect your cooling system to find out why your coolant level dropped.
