Mitsubishi Repair: Montero limited, temp gauge, temp sensor
QuestionAll the gauges on the dash display works fine. eg miles, time, date, and compass. However the outside temp gauge now displays only dashes ( - - - ). I assume it is the temperature sensor, but have no idea where it is located.
Is my assumption correct and can I replace this myself once I locate it?
AnswerWilliam: You did not put down the year or make of the car. But I think you will need to take the car to a shop and let them check it out. Could be you have a bad fuse or as you said a temp sensor. Some of those sensors are easy to fix and others are not. You should go out and buy yourself a repair manual for your car. It would then explain what you need to know and how to do it. Other wise take the car to a shop. Most parts stores have repair manuals for around $20.00 but buy a Haynes they have more pictures and are easier to understand should you go that way. Hope this helps: Linda
