Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Magna ABS, mitsubishi magna, abs light

Hi,
I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Magna TE/KE, and I have a problem. I took my car in to be pink slipped and it failed because of the ABS. The ABS light is always on, and the ABS sometimes works. My boyfriend had a look at the car and thinks the front right hand side ABS unit is missing, do you think this could me why the ABS light is on?

Simone:I do not think you could drive the car with one unit missing because there are hoses that run to both units. With one you would be loosing brake fluid. I think that maybe you have a weak sensor or maybe even a weak pump as part of the ABS system. You should get it to a shop and get it fixed. There are fuses to be checked two of them, but I would say if the light comes on and go off; there is a problems in the system so it should be checked. But a manual on your car, it would explain things about your car and you would understand it better. Can get them at any parts store. Hope this helps and good luck!
