Mitsubishi Repair: 2001 Eclipse back up lights, switch problem, test light

I have a 2001 Eclipse and my back up lights stay on the whole time.  When I am driving forward and in reverse they stay on the whole time.  Could this be a switch problem?

This sounds like you have a short with in the wires...Check the connection at the light it self..Electrical work can be tricky sometimes,,the best advice i can tell you is to get a test light and start troubleshooting...Im sure its just a short!
