Question
when i put my car in reverse or its idling in park it makes a vibrating noise and the glove box starts rattling, but once i put it in drive it goes away.

This can be caused by a loose or broken motor mount or transmission mount.  It can also be caused by your balancer shaft being slightly out of phase due to a worn balance belt or timing belt.  Have your mechanic check those items to verify the well-being of your timing and your mounts.
