Mitsubishi Repair: blown heater relay fuse, hanyes, assembly procedures

My wife has a 1998 galant thats been blowing heater relay fuse which controls a/c and windows and I don't know where to start looking for the short

The most common place where a short can happen is from the heater switch behind the dashboard.  Getting behind the dashboard isn't too difficult, but can be time consuming.  I would recommend getting a service manual to help guide you in removal and assembly procedures.  Both Hanyes and Chiltons makes available service manuals.
