Is it possible to remove the moisture from the unit, or is a replacement required.

I believe the Carima uses halogen bulbs that can be removed from the headlamp assembly.  You can remove the bulb and either try to let the lamp air out, or use a hair dryer to try to dry out the moisture.  I've found the hair dryer method to be the most effective.  You shouldn't have to spend money on a replacement.
