I recently purchased a 1977 550k model honda. It is blue but has a supersport gas tank. It has the k model exhaust. Did Honda ever make a k model with supersport gas tank ? Is this an unusual model? Ted from pa

Ted, the frames are pretty much the same, so there is a lot of mix and match with components from various CB500F, CB550F in K or F Super Sports editions. It didn't come that way from the factory.

Check your serial number/date stickers to verify that your bike is an actual 1977 model. In some cases, unsold models were titled as the year of sale, not the year of manufacture. That would be highly unusual though, for bikes this late.
