how do i lower the forks on a 1981 Yamaha 1100 special?

Quinton, These Showa forks dont really adjust. You can slide the upper fork tibe up into the triple clamp a little and lower the bike this way. The only other way might be shorter springs on the inside of the forks however you lose the suspension travel.
