QuestionHello, I have a 1979 CX 500 Deluxe and when I turn the key I no longer am getting headlight, tail light, neutral light, horn, blinkers, nothing. I figured that it had something to do with the ignition switch base. I pulled it off and sure enough the base was separating and losing connection. I ordered one brand new and it came with the whole ignition switch and base. Hooked it up, and still no power. Battery is fully charged, cleaned the connections, fuses are all good. What could possibly be going on?
Thanks,
Mike
AnswerMike, did you check the fuses back by the battery?

If they are all okay, buy a $5-10 12v test light and start with the battery leads and move forward on the RED and BLACK wires with the switch ON.
If power is coming out of the battery connections, go up front to the switch and look for power coming in, then out again.
