Motorcycle Repair: starter, good luck, bearing

the main one getting ate up is the one on the starter but if I keep using them then the main gear in the bike starts wearing

Check the bearing in the starter housing and the one in the primary. They might be bad and letting the jackshft flop around. Also, make sure you are using a prestolite stater. That is the one that fits the starter housing
