Motorcycle Repair: Clutch adjustment, clutch adjustment, hydraulic clutch

I resently purchased a '84 V45 650 and I would like to know how to adjust the clutch.The release point is right at the grip.

Bruce, I will assume that the bike is a 750, not a 650. There are three different V45 models...
Sabre, Magna and Interceptor, though. Please be specific when you are asking questions about your bike.

All models have hydraulic clutch master/slave cylinders which are not adjustable. If the release point is way out at the end and the bike has a lot of miles on it, then the clutch plates may need replacement.
