Recently started it back up after the winter and it is leaking gear oil out of the final drive. Do I need a oil seal replacement? Where can I get the parts and how do I do it?

Scott,  there are three seals in the final drive. Two are the same and require dis-assembly of the final drive unit, after removal of the rear wheel and the unit from the drive shaft.

If they are unavailable from Honda, use the dimensions and go to a bearing/seal shop who may be able to order them for you.

Setting up backlash for the ring and pinion set is not an amateur operation. Get a manual and/or take it to a qualified shop for proper repairs.
