Motorcycle Repair: 1964 Vespa, 150 cc Gas Tank Rust, vespa 150, gas tank

I have a 1964, 150 cc Vespa Scooter with rusty gas tank on the inside.  Do you suggest removing the rust and how?  Thanks a Million for your time, Jan! J.D.

I have used Rusteco with some success, thorough cleaning is always good, always use a fuel filter and it may be worth lining the gas tank with a kreem product, or similar.  Be sure to follow the instructions though, otherwise the liner will not work properly.  Good luck,  Jan
