Motorcycle Repair: Pulse Coil Generator, honda xr250r, dealer inventories

Hi Bill,
Thanks for taking the time to look at this. My local shop told me that the Pulse Coil Generator on my XR250R is hooped and I need a new one. Honda does not stock it. Any idea of where I might start looking to find one?

Pat, you didn't mention the year....   

30300-KZ1-000 PULSE GEN ASSY for a 1992
30300-MA0-000 for 1981, also fits XR500R
30300-HA0-033 GEN COMP,PULSE  for a 1998

Once you determine the exact part number, GOOGLE the part number to see if it can be located.
The Honda dealers in the US are able to use a system that checks dealer inventories for parts that are no longer available from the warehouses.
