how do i adjust my clutch on my 1974 harley xlh 1000

Answer
Loosen the adjuster on the cable so there is slack in it. Remove the clutch adjustment cover on the primary cover. Loosen the locknut and tun the adjuster outward. then turn it inward just until it bottoms out and then turn it outward about 1/8 of a turn. Go back to the cable adjuster and adjust it so you have about 1/8 inch play in the clutch lever
