Motorcycle Repair: oil blowby, crankcase breather, alignment marks

why does my '88 flst blow oil out of crankcase vent? I have a Woods Bro's .600 lift cam, 11 to 1 compression. I have checked the alignment marks for the crankcase vent and checked numerous times the timing.

Your oil pump is not working fast enough to remove the oil. This has been a problem for the 88s. S&S sells a product to stop this. Its called a crankcase breather. the other solution is to install a high volumn oil pump which would cost more
