Motorcycle Repair: electrical i think, honda cb900c, going fishing

82 Honda cb900c...seems the battery loses charge when the bike is parked...charging system checks out...new battery...is this a known problem with this bike or am I going fishing? Bike will not start now...will charge batt and go from there

If your battery is draining while the switches are all off, then there is a connection active allowing current to flow.  The easiest way to cehck is to connect and Ampmeter in series with the battery, and check for current flow,  Anything more than a couple of milli-amps indicates a leak and should be resolved.  Is there an aftermarket clock fitted?  I'd check any accessories such as communication systems or auxiliary heating systems first.
