Motorcycle Repair: idle jets, 1979 honda cx500, cx650

           I have a 1979 Honda CX500. I don't know where my idle jets are located in my carbs, please help. Also will it hurt my bike if i remove the baffels. Thanks in advance.

In the standard Keihin carbs, the idle jets are possibly pressed in, I'm sorry I don't know which carbs are used on the CX500.  My CX650 is injection so I cannot check...  If you remove the baffles, the backpressure of the exhaust will be lower, and this can cause issues so I would not recommend it.  It will also make the bike quite loud.
