QuestionQUESTION: I rode my Harley one day, parked it in the driveway to run in the house for 5 minutes, when I came out the engine was trying to turn over but wouldn't. I rolled it into the garage to deal with another day. Weeks later, I tried to start it again, nothing but clicking. I changed the battery and plugs= It is back to turning a little but will not completely turn over and start.
In the past, I had jumped started it, and am now aware that you should not do that. I just cant figure out what could have gone wrong from one minute to the next, to make it just stop one day like that. I'm afraid of going to a dealer blind, and coming out with a thousand dollar bill, any suggestions?
ANSWER: First thing I would do is charge the battery and then have it tested. You might have a bad battery. If this is not the problem let me know.
Good luck and happy riding

QUESTION: Hello Mike,
Yes, I had the battery tested and it is good. I also replaced the plugs. Any other ideas what it may be?
AnswerSince you know you have a ggod battery and your bike is turning over slow, then check the battery cables at both ends and make sure you have a good connection. If its still not turning over fast enough then your going to have to pull the starter and have it tested. A bearing could have gone out or you have a short in it
