Motorcycle Repair: 1975 Honda XL250K2 keyed ignition switch, magneto ignition system, bill silver

I'm having difficulty finding an original ignition switch for my 75 Honda XL250K2. Is there an aftermarket ignition switch that will plug into the existing wiring harness?

Bob, it seems to be a hard to find part...  superseded number is: 35010-361-017

They are not "normal" ignition switches, due to the magneto ignition system. Battery powered switches will interrupt the power to the ignition system, but the magnetos need to have the ignition primary wires grounded (internally in the switch) to shut the motor down.

I don't see any aftermarket switches listed. Check EMGO dealers to see if they have ever offered them.
