Motorcycle Repair: slow starting 05 softtail, big bore kit, wiring connections

QUESTION: Hi I have a 2005 softail that I just put a big bore kit in and now it turns over fine but will only start w/ a jumper battery attached. If the voltage on the battery at turnover drops below 11.5 it will not fire or get fuel from the injectors  please help   thanks steve

If the bike is turning over fine, like it was before, but not firing then you need to check your wiring connections. At 11.5 volts it should start. Where are you checking the voltage? If you are checking the voltage at the battery, then check it at the hot side of the coil and the hot side of the ECM. Are you still getting 11.5 volts?
