Motorcycle Repair: 1972 flh, spring pressure, fork oil

please tell me the procedure for filling the front forks with oil. The manual tells me to make a filling can.

Jack the bike up so  there is no pressure on the forks. Remove one top cap on the fork. Do it slowly, it will be under some spring pressure. Once you have it off you can add the fork oil. Do it slowly so it doenst run over. Put the cap back on and do the other one.
