Motorcycle Repair: 85 Honda Goldwing Aspencade air compressor, honda goldwing aspencade, park position

I just bought the bike and can't figure out how to use the built in compressor to hook up the hose and air the tires.
Know how?

From what I have been able to figure out, you have to turn the key to the Park position to use the onboard compressor to fill the tires.
