Motorcycle Repair: suzuki main bearing, main bearing, contrary to popular belief

I have a 1968 T500 suzuki and i'm in need of left side main bearing.I am hoping you might be able to tell me where to look.Thank you

Contrary to popular belief, none of the motorcycle manufacturers make bearings or seals.  So if you get the bearing out, and look at the outer bearing race, you should be able to see a number.  You can cross reference that number with bearings from SKF, etc.  Your local bearing supplier will be able to help you; take the bearing with you.  Good luck, Jan
