Motorcycle Repair: carlini handle bars, handlebars, apes

i just bought a set of 16'' carlini  gangster apes for my 05 road king what length cables do i need for it . and what else should know about this ?

Here is how I go about putting on taller handlebars. First, I remove the cables and install the handle bars. then I measure from where the cable is attached to the handlebars. That way you are sure you get the right length.
