Motorcycle Repair: changing a clutch handle on a 1200 sportster, sportster, clutch

Question
how do I change a clutch handle on a 1200 sportster. removed pin,and locking screw, how do I get the cable off of the handle?

Answer
Go to the adjuster on the cable and loosen it so you have slack in the cable. Remove the pin holding the lever in and remove the lever and you will see how the cable is attached to it. Put it badck together in reverse and adjust the cable so you have about 1/8 inch play in the lever
