Motorcycle Repair: 1982 honda 250r atc, honda 250r, scrapyard
Question
1982 honda 250r
i have a 1982 honda 250r and it goes really slow is it that there might low engine compression cause my dad works at a scrapyard and some one throw it away.so i got it and got it to run but it goes slow like top speed is 20-28 mph does it need a new piston or what?
Answer
Ramiro, it could need some work. It probably needs a top end rebuild with piston, and rings and it will probably also need a carb rebuild. It's possible the exhaust pipe is plugged up too. Try taking the baffle out of the pipe and see if it make a difference.
