Motorcycle Repair: installation of baffels, bolts, pipes

im running 40 inch by 1 3/4 inch XLR drag pipes shes making great h.p. & torque...im thinking about baffels to tone it down?... is there a certain way to install  them?...and would it effect starting?.....thanks

Installing baffles will not affect the starting of your bike. Most baffles are installed by drilling a hole in the exhaust and a hole in the baffle for a bolts to hold them in. Adding baffles will help your midrange plower
