QuestionQUESTION: I installed a Super E carb a number of years ago. The bike ran fine for awhile but then developed a dead spot off idle. You have to ease into the throttle or it falls on it's face. I have tried several different jet sizes, adjustments, even tried the original stock exhaust. I am running 2 inch drag pipes right now. Nothing seems to be working. Could it possibly be a timing problem maybe? I have checked My coil and plug wires they are working fine.
ANSWER: How far open do you have to pumper?

QUESTION: I have tried several different adjustments of the pumper. but to no avail it didn't seem to help anything.
AnswerSince you said it ran fine and then started running bad, I would look other places. Once you have set the carb and it runs fine, it really doesnt go out of adjustment.
Check for a intake leak or an exhaust leak. You can check the timing, but the timing, like the carb, doesnt usually change. I would do a compression test as well as a leak down test. You might have a leaking valve.
Good luck and happy riding
