Motorcycle Repair: 1985 Magna restore, honda magna v45, emission control devices
QuestionHi Bill i have a 1985 honda magna v45 700cc motorcycle that I am hopefully almost finished with... for some reason after adjusting the valves, rebuilding the carburetors and a lot of other work, I can't seem to figure out where a couple of fuel lines went on the bike. On the rear side of the carb system between the two rear carbs there are two black plastic tubes with inlets on them. I thought fuel went into both of these but am not positive now. I can only seem to find one fuel line from the fuel pump, is it supposed to be split somehow to send fuel from one line into two holes?? I saved all of my parts pretty well i thought and do not see a connector like that... well long story short, do you know what i should do about this.
AnswerLuke, some of those black fittings on top are carb vent connectors that to the carbon canister or other emission control devices.

Study your carbs again to verify where the fuel inlets are for each bowl. The fuel line is generally larger and thicker than vacuum hose, used for emissions.
