QUESTION: the winding is from when i start it and in all gears all revs and speeds could it be a clutch bearing fault its done about 40k with no work done that i know of it winds with the revs hi revs hi winding low revs low winding thanks for responding to question mars
AnswerWhen bearing go out they usually rattle, not whine. I would first change the fluids (oil, trans and primary) and see if you still hear it. Whining is usually a gear noise, so it would hve to be either the trans or the cam. I would keep riding the bike and see if it gets louder. If it does then, you would have to go looking for the noise.
Good luck and happy riding
