Motorcycle Repair: where to find a carburator, 1980 honda cm400t, vintage honda
QuestionHi, I have a 1980 Honda CM400T that I am trying to get running, and providing things go as planned, I will be to the point that I will need a carburator for it soon. The one on it is in bad condition , and while I was trying to clean it i sheared something off. So I'm thinking its a gone-er. I didnt know maybe someone that has been in the motorcycle buisness for a while might know a good place to look for one. I have looked on ebay, but all of them on there have been sitting around for years, and I don't think that does them any good. On online parts stores they run about $400, if they are available. I think I read somewhere that they dont make them anymore. So I guess my question is , do you know of a place I could get a decent carburator for a 28 year old bike? Thanks a bunch

Honda stops making parts for bikes older than 10 years.
Most any of the CM/CB 400T carbs are going to work for you, other than the ones for Automatics.
