Questionhow do I replace the Alternator
AnswerLuis,
-your alternator stator coil is under
the cover on the left side of your engine.
-you disconnect your negative battery cable
and then you remove the cover and disconnect
any wire connectors coming out of the cover.
-your stator is the round coil inside the
outer case. You can remove the screws
to remove it.
-It sits inside of the flywheel
(when the case is on) which has magnets around
it's circumference to generate the AC current
in the stator coils for your charging system.
-The power then goes up to the rectifier/regulator
and on to the battery.
-you may need an impact screwdriver to remove
the philips screws unless they are hex type allen heads.
-be careful not to damage any of the wire coils
as you replace it.
