Question Hey...Got a clutch rattle noise goin on.. i'm told thats
normal with this old bike..the bike shifts fine...any
problems with the tranny or such?? thanks,,,dave..
p.s. it's a 1979 Honda CB750K with 19,000 miles..thanks..

the clutch rattle may be the friction
disks. They rattle because of the
gap between them and the clutch
basket slots. It usually doesn't cause
too many problems other than noise.
-there are also rivets on the clutch basket
and gear. These could make noise if loose as well.
-keep an ear on it and if it gets worse
you may want to check out the gear rivets
and the clutch plates and basket for wear.
