How do you set the timing for a 1989 Honda CBR 600F?

Do you mean ignition timing?

It is not really adjustable but
there is a cover on the right side of
the engine. You use a timing light
to check the "F" mark aligns with
the mark on the case at idle.
At about 1600 RPM or so the mark will start to move
counterclockwise, that means the advance
is working.
