Motorcycle Repair: jet change for 883 sportster, dyno jet kit, 883 sportster

Mike, I amd putting Vance & Hines shortshots on my 2006 sportster 883. I am told I need to rejet and change my air cleaner. Can you tell me what jets and air cleaner i should change to. Thank you, Fred

You can with about any highflow air cleaner with air filter. Make sure the air filter is the kind that can be washed so you dont have to replace it.
As to jetting, get a Dyno-jet kit. It will have the jets you need as well at changing the slide in the carb. You should be able to install it yourself without problems.
